Jean-Daniel Liwanga
Web developer
Liwanga is an Honors student pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science at the University of Southern Maine. He actively seeks to learn more about the world of computing and technology. Liwanga enjoys reading, exercising, playing sports, and learning piano and Spanish. He hopes to work as a software developer someday, helping the world become a better place.
Aidan Foss

Aidan is a political science major and part of the Honors Program at USM. His passions in academia include sustainable community development, international relations, and urban planning. Outside of the classroom, Aidan can be found with his two cats or outside enjoying the Maine wilderness.
Wadak Harbi

Wadak Harbi is an Honors third-year student pursuing a major in human biology and a minor in biochemistry at the University of Southern Maine. Her ultimate goal is to become a biomedical scientist specializing in celiac disease research. In addition to her academic pursuits, Wadak also enjoys creative writing and art as outlets for both entertainment and self-expression. If given the choice, she would spend her time writing novels and sipping iced coffee in her bedroom forever.
Grace McLellan

Grace is an Honors student studying Anthropology at the University of Southern Maine. She shares her findings and experiences through writing and art. She plans to further her career in these fields all over the world, and her passion for studying culture and the environment inspires her every day. She loves to travel, try new things, and work towards a brighter future.
Amy Amoroso
Faculty Advisor
Amy Amoroso teaches writing in the Honors Program at the University of Southern Maine. Her essays “Cut Wide Open” (2014) and “Your American Dream” (2020) were selected as Notable Essays in the Best American Essay Collection. Her work has been published in The Sun, Mount Hope, Upstreet, The Maine Review, and others.
