Nancy Flagg

Nancy Flagg is a PhD in Leadership Student at USM and an Artist and Cosmetologist. She works with fabrics, oils, and acrylics on canvas and photography, jewelry, and design. Nancy strives to connect art and problem-solving by capturing moods and feelings with images to support understanding between people and groups. She is currently a Shaw Innovation Fellow working on a project using simple designs to organize concepts, making self-awareness and interpersonal communication simpler and more complete. Her Flagg Independence Scale flips the narrative to emphasize what people have instead of just what they need.
